It is a municipality of the province of Leon, in the region of Castile and Leon, Spain, located in the zone of the Eastern Leon´s mountain.

The municipality is crossed from north to south by the river Esla. At an altitude of 936 meters above sea level, it makes the climate very cold in winter, but cool in summer (with temperatures between 10 and 30 degrees celsius in summer). In its orography, the Peñacorada massif stands out with several peaks whose height varies between 1600 and 1835 m. Some more to the north are the Moro Peak (1779 m). To the south of Cistierna the flat lands that are used as agricultural crops predominate, that is why Cistierna is considered as the "Gateway to the Mountainous Country of Vadinia".

Cistierna is the capital of the municipality and has 10 districts. In the year 2017, had 3243 inhabitants, and the fact of being the capital of the municipality benefits from having very interesting services such as an ambulatory with emergency 24h, large municipal swimming pools and great sports facilities.

The hostel was opened in 2015, completely remodeled. It is surrounded by the mountain range PICOS DE EUROPA of León, in the town of Cistierna. It is an ideal place to enjoy nature.

The rooms are for 2, 4 and 6 people with their own bathroom and wardrobe. The rooms are arranged on two floors, giving us the possibility of separating participants by gender.

The food is homemade, since they have cooks that cook food every day there and they adapt to any type of special nutritional need (such as diets for vegetarians, diabetics, celiacs, halal, etc ...) and the dining room is very spacious so we don´t have to take turns eating.

It has 2 large rooms, where we can perform morning activities (English classes and physiotherapy) as well as workshops and some night games. It also has a living room with stage, where we will also do activities, games or the delivery of trophies and fenced outdoor areas.

Both the Sports Center (with 3 basketball courts) and the swimming pool are 200 meters from the hostel, which makes them very accessible to walk every day.
